    Hello, please help me recover the Octagon sf8008 supreme UID

    What happened? I did an update from usb with a Sungate titan 4k software, software that was said to be dedicated to octagon sf8008,

    after I updated slot 2, the update finished successfully, the receiver started with the new define.os titan 4k software, I entered, made all the settings, scanned the cable TV channels, and while browsing the channels the tv suddenly shut down, I took it out of the socket, it didn't want to start again, display and black screen, stby led off, I couldn't enter recovery....i did restoration via rs232 and rj45, with software of octagon sf8008 4k but also with octagon sf8008 supreme 4k, also collected from this forum, it starts with the octagon logo and stops at 11%, following the message "Unauthorized Device Please buy official box", I tried re-softening from usb, the same message, I tried to update online with an older software, it started, let me enter the settings in the menu, but the message, Unauthorized Device Please buy official box, appears every 10 seconds on the osd, what I noticed is that the UID is 0000000 what I think is the ID of the device that was deleted by the "junk", the Titan software, can you help me recover the ID? in the meantime, I will try to contact the people from Octagon. Maybe they have a solution,

    Your problem is that you uploaded a modified image to another device ( sungate ) on your device sf8008. Try first Erase all of your device with Hitool Then pass The original Full-dump sf8008

    Yes, I understand, but it seems a little disrespectful to the customer, the device is new, it is about 2 months old, and I worked in the electronics trade, and even if a product was out of warranty, the customer knew how to speak nicely and the costs were not they were great, they repair for free even after the product was out of warranty, which seems to me a lack of respect for the customer on their part, since the product is still under warranty and more than likely it is a recovery software that they could you offer without much effort, it doesn't cost anything, I still deal with TV repairs, and I call by mail to noname companies and they offer me free software for TVs. you expect from a fairly well-known company to be much more helpful and even if it is the customer's fault to offer help

    Have you tried asking the guys from the Openatv site?????It's their images that are used at the base of the Octagon installation.....

    To me, it seems disrespectful and speculative behavior of the customer. He knowingly uploaded bad software to the box and instead of smashing the box on the head of the one who advised him to upload the software for Sungate titan 4k to Octagon, you are going to get angry at Octagon.

    All that happened is that I did not adjust the serial in the image because it does not have powerful IP TV applications such as Spider and Gazelle (I did not pay much attention to it), so they were able to real serial for the device.I will also modified image of SUNGATE TITAN 4K that hit SN, modified again, and I will also challenge the SUNGATE team to attack my device.


    Based on the above it was hit by erasing SN sf8008 device From a team SUNGATE or Chinese IPTV platform

    Thanks for your involvement, I tried several solutions, via rs232, usb recovery, usb update, online, recovery, online update, without result, what's strange is that an older version of define.os octagon installed from usb i.m. online software update, so it sees it as an octagon, but it doesn't, and the UID still remains UID 00000...I tried the titanium 4k software again, the one that failed me initially, it installs but still gives me the message of (please buy. official)...I also found on another site (,,Arabic,, I think) the same problem, but I didn't understand if it solved it or not, a certain version of openatv 7.4 recovery emmc had to be installed and immediately after an update of 7.5 emmc.zip, but it didn't give me results, it doesn't want to install 7.5 emmc.zip, it sees the update on the stick, I give ok that I want to install, after which it immediately returns to the start, I installed an SP software -PRO-sf8008-sf8008m-Alkap3-20240906_mmc.zip which generates a UID for me so I no longer have UID 0000000...but the message still appears (please buy....)

    Change multiboot from command line
    I am feeling my way around this new box, Octagon SF8008, and decided to try the multiboot option. There was a second image already installed, a Define one, so I chose it and rebooted. I got nothing, no interface, the display on the box says no channels. The box is running, I can telnet in and there is a web interface. So I want to either change back to my working image, or get an interface going on this Define image, the only access I have right now is through telnet. I see there is a boot…

    Many thanks to the user frank087234 on this forum, who sent me 2 softwares that I installed and the message disappeared, the softwares are openatv-7.4-sf8008-20241002_recovery_emmc (for slot1), which I installed from the recovery menu multiboot immediately followed by

    openatv-7.5-sf8008-20240916_mmc also from the multiboot recovery menu, so at the moment the octagon sf8008 supreme receiver can be used without the message "please buy...official receiver" ..,, what I noticed is that if you do update to another software online or from USB, the message "please buy official receiver" reappears..., I understood that the software was modified by alkap32.. to whom I thank this way, and only modified software will work without that message this, at least for the moment, we hope for a total recovery of the UID following the "good will of those from Titan 4k" to share "killer" software

    yes i have been using this kind of logic for 1 week, slot1 openatv on octagon sf8008 combo device without any problems ''slot 2-3-4 mmc error message is given only the device's own original defineos factory test error and the annoying unauthorized device please buy official box text! i installed octagon_sf8008m-v1.06.51_20240915_mmc software on slot2, there is no error, only channels cannot be loaded, there is no signal, i can use the applications, no problem, if there is a development for the problems to completely disappear, the problem will be solved, let's wait and see
