What are you using to scan.

I would clear before scan as a lot of the regional sd channels are now no longer broadcasting and replaced with hd versions.

if you are uk based, then abm is perfect for scanning uk channels.
It has an update button you can click when ever you do a scan, to ensure the lists are up to date
You may be entering the frequencies incorrectly. Download latest satellites.xml file and place in /etc/enigma2. There is a link at top of forum for downloading XML file.
If on the other hand you are finding the channels but they are not clearing (viewable), there may be a hardware fault. With an updated XML file, you should be getting roughly 750 channels.

If you flashed the latest image, it would have the latest xml file. But no harm done.
You either have an alignment or hardware issue. You are going to have to investigate which it is. Please list the frequencies you cannot receive signal on. Use signal finder to check the ones I listed above. ( I have edited the list owing to an error and some missing entries)
Performing single satellite scan (as in post 4) is a good indicator of how many channels you get. Plugins like AutoBouquetMaker (ABM) and Autobouquets 28.2 (AB 28.2) read the SI table and import channels even though you cannot receive them. Post back with the result of how many channel you get.
Your manual scan is really low. It should be over 500. (dont know the exact number I am getting - as it takes too long to do a scan).
I presume when you mention other boxes, you have tried them on that actual cable end.
I.e. are you sure the wire doesn't need re-ending.
Are you in the UK or in Europe.
You should be getting roughly 750 channels when using the scanning in Enigma2. So you are getting a third of the channels. Are you able to test your receiver at a friend or family member's house? Must not be a Sky Q LNB.
