  • Hello. I am buying the kabelio module cam.

Could you please suggest a satellite receiver that works perfectly with kabelio?

    Thanks.

You need to have an official Swiss Address and that the person who is registered to it, pays the Yearly Swiss TV Fee (around 400 Euro)... otherwise your module will not be activated by Kabelio... it should work with any DMM or VU+, with the CI+ plugin.

  • I have my father's adress in Switzerland, but i live permanently in Greece.

It will work from my location, right??

(I do have a VU+ SOLO receiver. Is it compatible with CI+ Plugin??)

    Thank you!

    Hello,

You need to try an image that would be compatible CI+, I think that you can try the one below (if your VU+ is Original).

    OpenPLi 8xStar IPTV - Our Dreambox World - Japhar Sim Forum - http://www.japhar.com/ - SuperSim3

You will need to use your father address, and be sure he is paying the annual TV Fee that is around 400 euro. Once you have the confirmation you can naturally buy it, and it would be cheaper he buys it or you buy it and get it shipped to his address in switzerland.

Then he can send you and when you receive you activate it via internet (web site), you will get 3 months, then you can pay for extra months when it's finished, 3, 6 or 12.

  • from my information the kabelio cam does not have a smartcard but it is an enabled cam, if you get a subscription you will be able to see not only the Swiss channels but also other paid channels such as the English ones

  • My mistake,

    Edit: I have a VU+ ZERO 4K receiver.

take no notice of toysoft, he dont know what he is talking about,

insert cam into your vu and register the cam on kabelio website and all will be ok, i am in spain and have this cam up and running for ages , pm me if you need more help

You are in spain... I am in switzerland and perfectly know the TSR/SSR Rules to receive these channels... LOL

  • ok ts

bought the cam activated it and , watching it now on 13e no mysterys so simple to set up

  • Official CAM is not for outside of Switzerland, it's illegal to use it outside Switzerland, and you must be Swiss Resident to have it...

Then if you get it from someone that faked the address... it's your choice, to do illegal act and have anytime your module going dead... or buying from a reseller selling it pre-activated...

The official cost of the cam is 60 Euro, with 3 months,... then you can activate for 3 more months, 6 months, or 12 months.

We talk about legal way to do things, and to not have the risk of a fake activation that will get your cam turned off after 3 months, or even anytime as they find out it's a fake activation, you pay for 12 months, they find out and you get the cam also cut after 1 month... your game, your sport and your risk...

  • dont think kabelio will be worried about legality or not, kabelio cam sales have rocketed since the demise of 27.5w, they will be making a fortune !

You seems to not understand how this field works... the problem is the "right owners"... just think a little, WHY operators such as Tivusat, or SSR change cards... and phase out old cards (that are even not hacked/cloned) ?... Think...

The "Content Owners" are just telling to operators, also Free Operators (Like SSR/Tivusat/TNTSat) to get rid or act, to stop use outside their legal geographic coverage...

ALL changes of cards on past 20 years are due to CONTENT OWNERS requests to operators...

  • kabelio do not own the rights of uk tv, they simply re transmit it for a profit,

kabelio do not own the rights of their uk broadcasts, they simply re transmit it for a proffit

  • kabelio do not own the rights of uk tv, they simply re transmit it for a profit,

Yes, they don't own the right for UK, so UK Content Owners will tell Kabelio, IF YOU CONTINUE TO ALLOW YOUR CAMS to work in UK, we will cut you all right and movies/sports or channels in your platform that are broadcasting UK rights that you don't OWN, as you OWN RIGHTS ONLY FOR SWITZERLAND... or you will HAVE ALSO TO PAY FOR UK TERRITORY (if there is no other channel, eg SKY, that owns them for UK), so an increase of price that Kabelio will not be able to pay, or they will simply shut down the broadcasts to SWISS because FOREIGN people misuse the cams OUTSIDE of SWITZERLAND.

I will give you a simple example, French TF1 channel generally transmit movies AFTER Swiss TV, and this because SWISS have EXCLUSIVE rights to transmit in Switzerland, and TF1 in France... and SWISS TV was forced to upgrade their smartcard security as otherwise the RIGHT OWNERS would not give the programs to the SWISS TV before the French TF1 channel...

If you don't understand this, it means you have no CLUE about how this works.

    TS

  • I thought all the English channels are just the free ones?

If so, there isn't a method to buy them in the UK.

    Have they added paid channels?

All these are encrypted by Kabelio, to watch on Swiss Territory, and not outside... there is various BBC channels available thru Europe as well on various satellites (not 28.2), always encrypted (or outside of coverage from 28.2, like the BBC channels).
