    I found them and asked for you.

    You need to extract the boxkey from a legacy unit that the card is tied to.

    There is a boxkey which is used to handle the encryption between the box and card. If the boxkey can't be extracted they can remove the bga flash chip and dump with a chip reader and use the SK (secondary key)

    It only works with Nagra 3 cards as well.

    There's almost no public info about this stuff for bell anymore.

    I think they were 3100's but I believe bell has since stopped supporting those stbs

    I'm trying to understand some things.

    I have set up a CCCam server in NCam:

    Code
    [cccam]
    port                          = ****
    nodeid                        = ***********
    reshare                       = 5
    reshare_mode                  = 1
    forward_origin_card           = 1
    stealth                       = 1

    Code
    [account]
    user                          = chris
    pwd                           = supersecretpassword
    monlevel                      = 1
    group                         = 2
    max_connections               = 4
    cccmaxhops                    = 10
    cccignorereshare              = 1
    cccstealth                    = 1

    When I connect to this in OSCam I see this:

    Why am I only connected to 1 of 8 cards, and how do I know which card/s I'm connected to?

    I did not updated source to support Sky UK ... The support only with my compile binaries files. Because I have added patch to toolchains files only !!

    Your build (on post 1) doesn't work for UK icam.

    I just built it from your public git, and changed the 1 line that needs changing and that build works.

    Is that using stream relay, or does it work “properly”?

    I build like this, which works for Sky UK with TVH.

    It's about time.

    These closed-source-special builds need to die!

    I don't see any reason not to use NCAM if you can.

    It's OSCAM with extra emu features, which will never make their way into OSCAM because they don't want to support emu.

    It does everything OSCAM + emu does and more.

    Fairbird has done a fantastic job.

    EDIT: TVH was updated to support iCAM, so patching is no longer required.
    It automatically detects iCAM support in libdvbcsa and enables iCAM support if present.

    Will EMM mode 4 help open the "Anuvu" PowerVu package on 4.8E?

    I'll give you some free info, I will no longer upload an NCam on my decoders or those of my friends and acquaintances, I downloaded NCam+configurations from a well-known site which inside the configurations... there is a virus... which will opens a file (IMG001.exe) both in the decoder and PC, and I said that an .exe file is not possible in Linux, good thing it didn't cause any damage on an old PC, on the decoder I deleted it with DreamExplorer and if I restarted without internet connection did not return but as you connected the LAN this file reappeared, now I have deleted everything that is part of the NCam... I am sure that a file from that Cam connects to a server (hidden in the files).

    Stop downloading stuff people post on forums, then.

    Compile yourself: https://github.com/fairbird/NCam

    I googled powercam. As far as I can see, it only opens the same packages that other regular servers can. No Sky UK/IT, Cosmote, etc.

    Powercam is for the french people....

    Canal+? That opens with regular cccam, or did a few months back. Basically never see it on free servers though. There was a guy selling clines for it on ebay.

    There's a bunch of stuff.

    The ones I use are loading keys from URL's and loading AFN keys from this forum.

    Before I gave up on free servers, I used the free server feature, which loads lines from a file and automatically removes dead lines.

    Chris230291, if you restart the NCam reader, does it fix the usb card reader?

    No, it does not.

    If I programmatically unplug and replug the USB reader using this: https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/243457

    It “works” but because I am using Docker I have to also restart the container because of how mounts work (can only mount at startup)

    If I wasn't using Docker, I'm sure that script would work perfectly.

    I think I could mount the entire /dev... but I think that's a bad idea.

    Even if it doesn't help my setup, I think adding the option to restart the USB device on errors is a good feature for others!
