Help needed if possible. I still use a dm800se even though my main device nowadays is the firestick, but I find using a satellite receiver box to watch terrestrial TV easy going as well as IPTV at times, which will bring me to another question.
So for the longest while i've been putting up with the size of the picture stretching beyond the tv screen, for the most part it's bearable - I don't think i'm missing anything that significant, but I did try to see if it can be fixed with the image that I have which is the: openatv-6.0-sim2-dm800se-20170223-Houara.nfi, I found the overscan wizard which shows that I am not able to see all tips of the eight arrow and that it is my TV which has overscan enabled - I checked on my TV which is a Philips, and besides choosing the picture format on the tv, there're no another setting I see to change image size.
My question is, are there images for the DM800se clone where you can adjust the overscan so it fits correctly on the tv screen?
Also, I'm probably using an old image by todays standard, maybe. Issues that I come across using this image is freezing and device rebooting using up all the cache memory when playing IPTV, would a newer image be able to fix this? And finally, TSpanel stopped working years ago for me on this image, whereby I could download skins and other apps onto the dreambox at one time, has support for the dm800se ceased now or is it that I just needed to update my image?
I was thinking about getting a VU + DUO 4K SE for around £250 that someone has for sale, but in the whole scheme of things, even though this would be considered an upgrade, is it worth if it's possible to fix the above issues by installing a newer image onto the dm800se and also having a firestick?
