I'm looking for an iPhone app that I could use to copy & paste information from my iPhone to an android box. Something similar to the Fire TV app which is used to control and Amazon FireStick.

Is there and IOS android remote equivalent app ?

Thanks for that rikjaard-real. I think it will be an LG that I go for. Just out of interest if you know that is. Is there an LG phone app that will allow you to use the phone keyboard to type directly to the TV, instead of using the remote?

I've never had an android TV before only really used Samsung, but now with apps like Smart IPTV no longer available unless side loaded, the thought of an Android tv using Tivimate seems like a good ideal. I played around with an LG android tv once though and I have to say I didn't find the UI that friendly as with Samsung. Are Android tv's decent ?

ExpressVPN is also the provider I decided to go with.

I've been using the Tivimate iptv app on the firestick for the last few days as I just found out about it, and for me it is definitely the best app i have come across for IPTV. I think maybe the only thing that say Smart IPTV has over it, is that you can add a service to a specific app with mac address over the internet easy. But maybe that is possible somehow with Tivimate.

What I would like to know, is it possible that I can add Picons to all the channels as that currently all have the grey box with TV logo. My provider said they do not supply picons with their channels. Is there any way which does not involve working on each channel individually of course, to get the picons to appear ?

In princile, my advice is use Surfshark (if your STB can support it) - have it in every box/device as a plugin/addon separately, to use as needed, change a server whenever needed etc. etc.

I received my Asus RT-AC86U yesterday which I believe supports some if not all of what you mentioned. Surfshark hey. I came across that name once yesterday but I think there wasn't much info on it. I'll look into info on that now. Thanks for that.

I do trust the information provided but like searching for anything, you may receive different opinions. The idea is to possibly go with the general consensus if it's something you've been unsure about. So yes, I do trust Linuxsat.

I've read that ExpressVPN works well on routers, but as I have never used it before it's hard to determine if what I have heard is more hyped up marketing rather than genuine feedback on the product.

Then there's NordVPN which apparently is a manual setup on the router and does not have an app for mobile device to allow for VPN configuration on the router like ExpressVPN.

Torgaurd, I have no idea about apart from what I've seen on youtube.

All 3 providers have their fair share of criticism on Trustpilot so that makes me wonder if it's all about their marketing strategy rather than a good service that's offered which makes them popular.

Is there a VPN provider that should always be considered 1st?

I have a 2012 Orsay Samsung smart tv 'UE40ES6300' which use to run Smart IPTV fine until a software update removed it. I saw in some comments possibly on Youtube on how to install Smart IPTV via USB stick but that it will not work on 2012 Samsung TV models, is that still the case and if so is there another alternative or app that can be used? When I try the Non Tizen file and plug it into my TV nothing happens and there is no option to click 'More App' as suggested in other comments.

I previously had enigma2-plugin-extensions-permanenttimeshift_1.0.0-rc25-r2_mipsel.ipk and recently also tried enigmaplugin-extensions-permanenttimeshift_1[1].0.rcr2_mipsel.ipk, but now whenever I install either of them on my DM and reboot, it just freezes with the spinning wheel in the left hand corner so I have to reflash and not use the permenant timeshift ipk. Is there a stable version of this app?

I'm currently using openPLI 6.1 on my box but would like to have an image that would not only play IPTV but also supported the weekly EPG. I know I may have to change each channel settings so the epg works. I've seen different information about how to get the epg working with varying results for people. I can only get it to work for just one show at a time which obviously sucks and prevents me from using the timer to record.

Cheers Master G. Isn't there one that is works well with my model that has a good general consensus to preforming well? Also my previous image was Nemesis2-6-dm800se-SVN-190r0-ramiMAHER.nfi which didn't have IPTV, so when sly went obviously I had to change. Nemesis for the most part was very stable for me. Is there a way to get IPTV to work on these previous images?

I've currently got BlackHole-3.1.0C-sim2-DM800se-20161013-Houara.nfi installed on my DM800se Clone for the last 4 - 6 months, but i'm having issues in getting the 7 day epg. I can manage to get it showing for the current and next programme only but thats it.

Im using IPTV but I have already changed the setting in each channel to allow for the epg to work it's just now getting it to work for 7 day if possible If anyone can assist that would be great.

I've just installed IPTV Player and had to install binaries, do i need to do anything else to allow my IPTV stream to use IPTV Player or does it automatically recognise it?

Is it possible to record IPTV channels by the way on the dreambox ?

Okay will do that once I flash the box. So if you know is the below image okay to use in regards to stability if you know? And on another not very briefly is it possible to get the image GUI to fit on the screen so all the writing is visible by changing the setting ? When I click menu on the dreambox control I only can see part of the word on the screen so instead of PLUGINS i'll see 'GINS'.

To be fair though that particular box is on an older tv using a scart lead.

What image are you guys using ? I'm using OpenATV and when I tried to just install the plugin my box has frozen so had to restart and it's just frozen on the startup screen so will have to flash again.

When I try to install plugin I get error messages saying plugin are unable to be installed.

Any ideas ?
