  • Does anyone here have experience of the Novaler 4k Pro Ultra HD as I am in Thailand and seem to only be able to buy online one of these or a Zgemma box. I see you can get the latest openatv 7.5.1 so obviously supported. My vu+solo4k is getting old and seems to play up sometimes so perhaps time for a new box. Any reviews from users would be greatly appreciated. Apologies if in the wrong thread so Admin please move if necessary.

  • I advise you not to buy the Novaler 4k pro device in the device, despite its capabilities, it is not useful and lacks a lot of flexibility, although the device is supported on specialized sites, it is a bad device

I've had novaler pro for a year and I'm very satisfied with the recording, and before that I had dreambox, octagon8008, vuzero4k, but novaler proved to be the best. It has several images already installed in it, you just need to install them, it has its own store with all plugins
  • I've been using Novaler 4K Pro Ultra for more than a year now and it just does justice to its price as well as its hardware. It also comes down to what you're looking for. Novaler is serving French-Speaking people around the Mediterranean very well, if you know what I mean. Other than that, Zgemma is top notch, no doubt.

  • if you want more headeches, buy it.

Actually, the best product is the "SF-8008" with its variants,

and supported by almost all teams, of course, without the latest "SF-8008" Supreme

which still has a lot of problems (bugs).

The most important is to choose an STB which has at least 5 different support (images)

  • As said the issue is that I am in Thailand and E2 boxes are hard to find, for me anyway, and Zgemma and Novaler are the only ones I see online using AliExpress unless anyone can point me to a different site.

  • Hi, Zgemma or octagon, it's the same order, you can do the same thing with it, by the way, you still need to have some knowledge in handling enigma 2.....

You don't have access to sales sites like rakuten or amazon that sell octagons sf 8008, but not the supreme as mentioned above....

  • 240 € ? Goodness me ....

What if you try to get in touch with an official seller ( International Sales)?

As a matter of fact, you can download and install whatever you like, be it from the image itself or from elsewhere. Enigma2 is fun, it's not just about buying a device and watching TV ;)

  • Do not buy it is junk was changing from E2 to android and it froze turned it off and on it is dead tried everything nope dead no help because I bought online .stay away.

  • Gigablue quad pro 4k

Seems to be a beast. Or is it as good as it looks in specs?

All these linux boxes are junk garbage. octagon sf8008 has auto updates and does the job only costs like £120 if you in the uk But crashes from time to time and yeah it's a box issue i'm sure. . Gigablue newer model quad pro 4k has weaker cpu than older one Gigablue trio 4K. It doesn't make sense at all. And you have no more choice. Vu duo 4K SE is the strongest and fastest but it's out of stock and nobody sells. Yeah all of them pretty much ancient. All other boxes don't even have normal updates comes with 2019 firmwares and with tons of problems.

[Current box] OCTAGON SF8008 V3 SUPREME 2024 model,

[Also owns] Gigablue UHD trio 4K

    Enigma2 owner since 2012 :lolz:

  • Okey. One Guy in My sat shop in Sweden said that new VU boxes are coming in very soon but he had no more info at this point. So that made me think that I maybe should wait.

Maybe its just more DUO 4k se but let’s see. :thinking face:
