    Firstly, thanks to the whole OpenATV team, outstanding work to keep older boxes working and productive!

    I have a Vu+ Duo that I did an online upgrade from 7.5.1 to 7.6

    It went fine, but it is stuck on the default skin.

    I can see the MetrixHD skin plugins available in the Install Plugins list, and I have downloaded and installed them, but when I go to the Select skins menu item, no other skin options show up to select. Also, the downloaded skins do not show up in the Plugins Browser list.


    It appears to be working perfectly apart from that.


    What am I doing wrong?

    After some trial and error, 7.6 did not like my ancient Duo.

    After some considerable faffing, I've gone back to 7.5.1 and it works.

    In better news, my brand new remote control is on the way.

    You must not abort the start wizard on this box.

    Using the start wizard together with a USB stick, the flash expander and swap are activated, and any missing image parts are installed from the feed.

    The box has very little RAM and the flash storage is too small.

    So you should:

    • reflash the image via USB

    • then follow the start wizard all the way through to the end

    After that you should end up with a fully set up image – that’s how it works for me.

    Hello Captain, I've got almost the same issue on ZGemma H9s , there' s not too much memory and I've problems whenever I update from feed , the decoder stops working while the bootlogo is showed , everything is fine when I upgrade the version from usb but the dec has always less space on memory , I also have got a swap file on a sd memory card but the problem persists. One more thing , I always delete all languages but Italian and English(GB) to save space. So, I ask if there would be a small memory image for this decoder like there is one for Miraclebox Miniplus Premium that is working OK.

    Dreambox DM920 can record up to 4 recordings but


    only two programs record at a time it works fine right now :hugging face:


    it has nothing to do with the ciplus modules it is software that determines how many recordings can be recorded at a time I have talked to Norlys Support about it

    There are CI modules that can only decrypt one stream at a time, and others that can handle two or more simultaneous streams. All of this basically works with OpenATV – I own many CI/CI+ modules myself and use them every day.

    You’re saying that the DM920 can decrypt 4 streams at the same time, so it works with DreamOS, but not with OpenATV?

    Do you have any DreamOS logs that show it working?

    A CI+ module does report whether it supports more than two streams. You can also configure options per module in the CI slot. However, in the consumer area I’ve only ever seen CI+ modules that can handle just one stream at a time.

    Commercial modules for cable headends are supposed to support more, but as a private user you normally can’t buy those.

    think it was this commit but when restoring backup once finished it should run myrestore.sh if there is one present you need to exit then it runs myrestore.sh that is no big deal.


    But I have found problem if you select flashonline just flash image and when it boots it will say backupsettings found do you want to restore you select yes it goes through the proccess but goes into loop does it over and over again you need to exit.

    What do you mean by e2 log do you mean debug log, enable debug does that work on clean install
