I desperately need help!
My vu+ solo 4K with multiboot I was going to install OpenHDF on slot 1 and the box won't start now and I can't get in touch with the box via the network I've tried inserting a USB with a different image but nothing happens at all Is there a way to bring it back to life or is it junk?

How exactly ?
You should format a good name branded usb stick less than 8gb in size to fat32
Extract the downloaded image to the root of your USB stick, so you have the extracted "vuplus" folder on the root of your USB stick.
Power off your STB
Everything else should be disconnected, all external hard drives ETC ETC
Use the rear usb port on your STB to flash
power the STB back on and press the power button on the front panel when requested to do so.
Wait for the stb to finish flashing, it will then reboot by itself.......before powering off.

I have tested this with different images, it does not come up that you should press the powe button, only the VU+ logo

On the vusolo4k,
you can set the first software as the master that helps you make the vuplus multiboot software a stable software like ATV or Egami.
The software will warn you in the status management menu that you'll find the option to install its multiboot.
Other software doesn't have this option, and so the vuplus freezes. Make sure the previous software is already set up for multiboot, or you'll lose everything again, like you did.
Please do not install any multiboot plugins on the solo 4k. It leads to issues with kernel differences. Instead, use an image (and version of it) that has the multiboot functionality included.

I think there is a language issue here.
Install:
The image does not have multiboot support. You have to install a plugin like openmultiboot.
Enable:
The image has the software based multiboot support. The function has to be enabled.
Egami is part the the OE-A image teams so will have the multiboot function that the ATV coders created. Obviously has to be a recent version.

hi, my vusolo 4k looks like is dead, but i want make sure. i have not used it for almost a year. now when i turn it on i only can hear the hard drive starting, but nothing else happen.mini lcd do not came on., it do not see any usb stick also if i use the remote i can see that the led on the box is working. any idea?
1* remove the HDD
2* unplug the power and if you want to change the software, you can use a USB stick with the original software of your choice inside... remember that you will have to hold down the button inside the reader door on the top left side.
ciao peter, i have tried to unplug the drive. 12 volt adapter work fine. i'm not sure if the problem is software or hardware.

not sure what you mean
do you say that should be 12 volt 5 amp?. looks like my power supply is fine.
Just because it outputs 12v, when you test it with a multimeter. Some PSUs fail when under load.
