Strange Problem with my duo today

Hey guys,

Woke up this morning an powered on my duo as normal and went to make myself a coffee

I came back into the living room and noticed that there was no sound on the tv, so i picked up the vu+ duo remote and increased the volume, as soon as i increased the volume it lowered all the way back down again by itself.

I powered off the box and waited a few minutes and tried again but the volume just keeps turning itself down

Also now there is a constant green LED light on the top left of the display on the duo, even when its on standby , which i don't think was there before.

And lastly when i'm pressing buttons on my TV remote (not the vu+ remote), the green LED light that now displays on my duo, flickers each time i press a button

Any ideas whats going on here guys?

update: now the teletext is coming on, then off, on then off in a continuous loop

original box running the latest stable build of vix 2.4

box has been flawless up until today

tried googling to see if anyone else has encountered anything similar but came up with nothing

guys i feel like such an idiot

the problem was that my littl'un was playing with the remote and one of the volume buttons on my remote was stuck down, thats what was causing the green light to stay on and causing the volume to turn down also

I'm off now to crawl under a rock (hangs head:)
