    Having a Multiboot support in OpenATV just solved the big problem

    of forgotten good STB's ! VU+ and Dreambox have the main benefits !

    This is a half of the problem ! into the Multiboot you can install some

    old images , still interesting, with no Multiboot Manager support !

    Once you enter into a old image ... you become captive there , no way

    back into Multiboot !


    Multiboot Selector Plugin just solve in general manner , for the 3

    known Multiboot systems organized thru OpenATV ... KExec (VU+) ,

    ChkRoot ( DM and the rest) and GPT (Dream ONE/TWO) the big

    mentioned problem ... multiboot navigation.


    Waiting for a final version , you can try a preliminary one ! 1.12-Pre !

    Here comes an example ... I hope convincing ! installing a DreamOS image

    into a GPT Multiboot !!!





    If you want to install this plugin over a previous version I strongly

    recommend a TelNet installation as ...

    I have a Vu+zero 4k box KEXEC multiboot...

    I'll try the VTI image because it doesn't work in Multiboot unfortunately...I hope this plugin solves the problem...and I manage to figure out how it works

    MultiBootSelectorPlugin installation is complete..it was successful...but I don't see it in Extensions.
????? What should I do?

    Unfortunately it doesn't appear in the add-ons..I'm using Open ATV 7.5.1..KEXEC is installed on it


    and it is installed because I see it in the Delete Extensions section ( multibootselector 1.11 )

    - you must set the password

    - and you need the Box IP

    - will open a Terminal window

    - move the plugin to /tmp

    - copy/paste my command at the prompt

    - and observe execution !

    - please copy the messages during installation

    Image is build as being "single" and destryos the multiboot structure !

    To repair ...


    - use a FTP client to access the image

    - goto /boot

    - edit the STARTUP file

    - change the linuxfsx to linuxfs4

    - save the changes

    - reboot

    Unfortunately I still don't see it in the extensions menu.
