dreambox DM 900 help

If you use OpenATV/OpenViX, you can use chkroot multiboot and have several images. These must be the first image in flashas they contain kernel changes to support the functionality. I am not sure if the PLI-custom builders have enabled the function.

For images that do not support chkroot multiboot, you can install the multiboot selector plugin (after you have booted into those images), that will allow you to boot out of those images.

Having a Multiboot support in OpenATV just solved the big problem
of forgotten good STB's ! VU+ and Dreambox have the main benefits !
This is a half of the problem ! into the Multiboot you can install some
old images , still interesting, with no Multiboot Manager support !

back into Multiboot !

Images are not per packages. You scan/create bouquets that you want.

I asked you to explain what you want to do, but you just mentioned a provider. You will get better help if you are more explicit/clearer about what you want to do.

I have already given you directions on what to do. I don't know what you have done and at what stage you are at. Please have a look at the guide by kiddac, it is more for UK users, so ignore what is not relevant to you. In AutoBouquetsMaker, you can create a bouquet for Canal +.

OpenATV 7.* setup guide by KiddaC

I have been asked a few times if I can make a new setup guide for latest OpenATV 7.* versions.

So lets go through the motions again, as a few things have changed since my original OpenATV 6.4 setup guide.

Although this guide is using openatv image, it can be used as a base for any image. They are all pretty much the same process.

*note before you start a new flash - a reflash clears most things off your box. Make sure you have copies of all important information before continuing.

Once again, you will get better help if you clearly explain what you want to do. Also say what you have done so far. People are willing to help you, but nobody here is a mond reader.

The flashing process for DM900 is the same for the initial flash. Go into recovery mode and select the image to flash.

If you already have ATV installed, you can use the "flash online" process.

BMX replaced JMX. It is newer and better.

If your IPTV provider has a French category, either of those two plugins will create the bouquet for you.
