Multiboot, alternatives to Barry Allen

  • On my dm920, after installing Gp4.2 image from 29.9.2024, without channel listing, installing BA on video shows the current date, but BA works and allows me to install images on SD that work regularly. But if I flash a channel list and tune one, BA turns off.

    Strangely enough, by providing my backup to a friend of mine who has a dm920, if he uploads it, he has 01.01.2021 on video and can install a channel list, tune in and BA remains active. It doesn't, of course, have EPG.

    Why is there such a different behavior?

  • Hello maybe someone can help me, if I install Barry Allen on my Dreambox 920 it always disappears after a restart and no longer works. Only a new installation helps?

    Install BA 12.91 mod version. Download in post #11

    Note that image in flash always goes back to an old date/time if you install this BA mod.

    So if you have a good dreamos working image in the flash, it's best to make a backup first before installing BA mod.

    Then install BA mod and use your backup without having a date problem in BA mod.

    I think you have a version of the dm920 that is the same as mine. I recommend you do this:

    - Install the Gp4.2 in flash, perform the initial configuration, but do not install any channel lists;

    Insert an SD card and install the version of BA indicated by passata. You should see BA in the plugins;

    - Start BA and install an image on the SD, even the same GP4.2, select it to restart from BA and run all the configurations, channel lists, emu, everything you need. It should work.

    You will only need to use the flash image for installations on the SD. If you want to install some Open Python3 images, remember to install the "kernel-module-nfsd_3.14-r0.40_armhf.deb" module in flash.

    I don't recommend you try the OATV multiboot. They write multiboot for everyone, but it's only for experienced users and implemented (personal opinion), in an unsatisfactory way.

    Internet Time server activated in Flashed image ?

    This brings the date and time to the current time. Then BA time bomb will go off, and the BA plugin will be removed.

    (modified BA plugin needs a date before the time bomb date)

  • Exactly

    That's right.

  • Could you indicate which decoder/image you are referring to? What is the path to change that approach? On the DM920 with DreamOS, I can only find the time zone setting. Thank you
