Recording taking place and timers being set are two different things. Autotimer just sets the timers.
Please check your timers.xml file in /etc/enigma2 It should show what was set.

don't use autotimer in future
only timers
Auto timers creates timers. It works fine most occasions.
It's your receiver, use it how you want.

has been experiencing it not recording with auto timer
it's a bit of a bummer when it doesn't record via auto timer
As I said, all that an AutoTimer does is create a timer.
Whether you set a timer automatically or manually, it's still a timer. Its the timers that invoke the channel zapping/recording.
You can always check the timers that have been set in the menu.
