Ubuntu / oscam server help

Hi All,

Last year I assisted a friend setting up oscam on his Ubuntu PC. He shares all over his large property using stb's. Recently he called around with the PC and informed me that he cannot see oscam running when he uses Web browser. We used the simple build method to initally set it up from this site as both of us are pretty dumb when it comes to linux . It did originally work. I can ping the server from my pc but cannot SSH or web browse into it. It is starting to look like both CCcam and Oscam are not running at all for some reason. I tried different command lines (which I found on line) to try and confirm if oscam / cccam are running.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Had my son call over to give me a hand. We have managed to get SSH and FTP back running, the server seemed to be all over the place. Anyways;

We have built OSCam again with simplebuild pulled from the github. Initially seemed like it did nothing, but if we run "oscam" command, the web interface and everything seems to work, however after a few seconds it seems to die as the web interface stops accepting any connections.

If we run "oscam" in terminal again, it starts back up and allows us to look around the web interface for about 5-10 seconds.

Anyone had this issue before, or is there a log file for OSCam anywhere? There's nothing in the Ubuntu syslog referring to OSCam.

It seems we are 99% of the way there to being back up and running. It runs off our old OSCam.config no problem. It's just that something is killing the process after a few seconds.

When he calls around again I will ask him to try the docker route as its above my pay grade. I also noticed that I cannot delete or rename files using Filezilla client . It has always worked for me . I have permissions set to 755 . This is a different issue I know but I thought that I should mention it .
