  • Hello,

Can you point me the right direction please.

I have 2 paid for sub's, both work fine, from morning to late afternoon, then stop, no crash just a freeze to which I have to reboot the machine, click on xstreamity (5.15), up comes the screen asking for a selection, I pick live TV, after a while the 2 paid for providers appear with a message "server not responding" I have mailed them and told them of the problem, to which they replied, we do not have a problem everything is working fine, I then contacted BT (internet provider) and basically got the same answer.

I'm getting this on a regular basis, so I loaded up hack vision and they work fine (all green lights) (finding a working channel is pain though)

So I'm wondering if there is a timer within xstreamity (using 5.15) that disconnects after a certain time (been watching the world cup cricket start time 10:00 til 17:30 approx)

    Running

    VU+

    OBH 5.1.1

    xstreamity 5.15

BTW my sat channels are not a problem running on OScamm

    Any pointers please

  • Have you tried on another device also with a vpn.

  • If everything suddenly stops working it could be a memory issue.

Set up a swapdisk if you haven't already

    Download and setup cacheflush plugin.

But if other lines are working but this provider stops.

    1) They could be down for maintenance. All providers at some point in the day will go down a little when they do updates. Not that they will ever say they are down.

    2) You say this is only happening in evenings. Maybe your school boy hackers have returned from school and doing some brute force mac address hacking which can have Denial of service effect.
    3) May be they have crap servers and cant handle the evening load when more people are using it. But the url call to see if a server is up or down is a very quick call. So will only fail if their server is not responding quick enough or not responding at all.

There is also IPTV etiquette. If you are not currently watching your iptv you should turn that channel off or switch to a satellite channel.
That way you are not putting unnecessary strain on their servers. Some providers will kick you out if you have been watching too long.
