  • Hi,

QuickSignal is one of the valuable plugins that I have cherished and used for more than twenty years to check the signal strength and quality of a channel. Therefore, I decided
to revive it and adjust its code and paths so that it works with all Enigma devices. I tested it on Dreambox and Vu+ devices, as well as on Python versions like Python 2 and Python 3.

I did not change the screen size; instead, I modified the code to make it compatible with Vu+ devices, especially Python 3, because originally it only worked on Dreambox devices.
I also consolidated all its files into a single folder.

Since the original button to launch the plugin is Text,

because another plugin shares this button—namely Tuxtxt (Teletext)—

to prevent conflicts between the two plugins, you must first remove the Tutxt plugin.

To remove the Teletext plugin any image:

    Code
    /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/Tuxtxt

    # Remove the entire plugin folder

    Code
    rm -rf /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/Tuxtxt

    # Remove any related Tutxt settings files

    Code
    /etc/enigma2

  • In Dreamos the Txt button has alot function not only tuxtxt

U can use it to open virtual keyboard in configuration as helpableconfig screen

So it will confuse a lot of function with dreamos i prefere it use 0 button to open it

  • Hi

    Now version 2.2

A new button has been added to launch or exit the plugin, and both buttons perform the same function.

    • First button: " TEXT "

    • Second button: " 0 "

You no longer need to remove any plugin — you can simply choose whichever button you prefer to start it.

    Best regards.

    • First button: " TEXT "

    • Second button: " 0 "

"0" is usually for zapping back to previous service

    try long press

    <key id="KEY_TEXT" mapto="showQuickSignal" flags="l" />

the best would be to change that in Teletext plugin too

    <key id="KEY_TEXT" mapto="showQuickSignal" flags="b" />

the key is then active on releasing the key

    hi

I’m surprised that you’re reopening old topics.

If you read my first post about monitoring the hard drive and processor temperature,

you’ll see that I mentioned I’m just a hobbyist, not a professional programmer.

Why didn’t you mention the date of that post?

This issue only occurred with the early versions back on October 17,

and I already fixed the errors and released several updates afterwards.

I also uploaded the new versions to the same websites,

and I haven’t received any complaints since then.

Attached are the links to the sites.

Unfortunately, I don't have a screen compatible with my friend's requests, and I tried to help him, but it's not a final version. I modified it, but I couldn't test it. So I asked him to try it and tell me the result. I'm sorry I tried to help. - Try the official version and don't try the test files.

  • Everything fine. ml55 uses the same box as me. I'm just giving feedback.

My friend, as I mentioned, I'm not a professional programmer, but an amateur. Mistakes may occur and be fixed, but we're just practicing a hobby. Do you know how difficult and time-consuming for any modification, because I'm an amateur, spending long hours on it?

  • You probably misunderstood me. I'm not criticizing your work, I'm just giving feedback like a beta tester would to make your job easier. Btw i like your contribution to the community.

  • Hi,

New Release of the plugin, version 2.5.

It includes a small code update and is now available in the Extensions menu.

Also, to avoid any issues with the buttons, this version now appears within the Plugins menu.

Users can select it and run it directly from the Plugins menu,

Everyone can choose the version they prefer
