Which openatv image are you using? lease also confirm whether this is a software update or after you flash a new image? If software update, which skin did you have?
-
Openatv 7.6.0, only updates were from software management from system menu, there was over 100 updates.

It's a skin issue. Something has change to make it incompatible. What skin did you have active before you updated?
For now you can do following:
Using Putty (telnet protocol), issue the following command
init 4
Then FTP to /etc/enigma2. Edit the file called settings
Delete the line that says config.skin.primary_skin
Save, transfer back, ensure transfer completes
Restart with following Putty command
init 3

How did you get on?
I have flashed a 7.6 image, no restores after it rebooted, it was fine.
Many of us are of of the opinion that changes should cause least amount of damage. Variable name changes that serve no functional benefit, but are done for camel case preference, should ideally have backward compatibility.

Will editing the file using FileZilla work?
