Just bought a second hand DM 7080 HD, I need advice abt DVB-T tuner and image

Sometimes these could be due to the fact that the original drivers/image setup some microcode in the tuners/chipset, then you can install open images which use "standard drivers".

If you try openpli, can you let me know if the two smartcard readers work, or only the sci0, as on my box which I test with my openpli, I have only the sci0 and not the sci1 that works.

So far I have no any card (official or fun) to test, I'm returning to this hobby after long time...

As soon I'll solve these issues , I'm planning to do experiments..

Its possible your old dm 8000 tuner is also not compatible . in my tests and experiences if its about dreambox than dreamOs is the only best choice for it .

I believe the same thing about compatibility,

I'm waiting for another (second hand) LG tuner, supposed to be suitable for the DM 7080.

What I've noticed during my experiments is the fact that reset button should be pressed, on first reboot then tuners are remaining available and functional

Other thing that noticed is the fact that there is no SIM card slot as I have seen in other online photos,

what it means?

For fotos I'll revert on next dismantling...

As mentioned earlier, I'm waiting the new tuner for opening it again...but I can't recall a sim or a chip in that place!
