Let’s see what happens with the next update. The thing is, when I read the forum (on my computer), I download the .ipk file, unzip it, use an FTP programme to delete the ‘Foreca1’ folder from the decoder and copy the new one over. Perhaps if I used the handy option directly from the decoder, the problem wouldn’t occur? Just a question... Could it be that installing an update directly from the plugin has installed ‘serviceApp: player management option’?

Perhaps I didn’t explain myself clearly; I can now see that there’s an update to version 1.1.4. I haven’t installed it yet, but usually, if I see new updates here in the thread, I download the IPK file and copy the new Foreca1 folder.

I make an new installation my linuxsat app and now it works graet thanks.

Last night I updated directly via the plugin to version 1.1.4. I had to copy the ‘MeteogramView.xml’ file posted here in the discussion thread back into the skin/fhd folder because the time display was showing zeros, with the usual numbers cut off at the bottom...

I’d like to ask if it would make sense to make a change to the home menu... let me explain...

On the right-hand side, we see the functions assigned to the coloured buttons on the remote control. Instead of displaying ‘Home’, ‘Favourite 1’ and ‘Favourite 2’, would it make sense to have the name of the selected city appear on these buttons? There might be an issue with long names being cut off, but it seems to me that the city name always appears first, followed by the county or country, and so on... Perhaps two lines could be provided to accommodate any long names...

Clearly, this is just an idea of mine that I wanted to share with everyone helping Lululla to improve and refine the plugin...

I thought as much; some places will certainly have a name that isn’t too long, and it would be nice to be able to see it in full. For those with long names, as I said, we could set the display to two lines; having the name cut off might look a bit messy,

Creating a setting that lets you choose whether to see ‘Favourite1’, ‘Favourite2’ or ‘Home’ instead of the city name seems a bit too complicated to me, but it could be included in the menu. Just as you can set the wind speed, for example, you could do the same for the labels on those three buttons... However, starting to add 1,000 different settings might make the plugin too complex.

Of course, I’ve had a good look at all the plugin’s excellent features; mine was just a purely aesthetic suggestion, to see if it made sense to display the names of the three cities entered on the coloured buttons on the home page

Excellent – I must say it’s not bad... Let’s see what others think of this potential change; of course, people might like it or they might not... If it goes ahead, you’ll decide which fonts to use and what size they’ll be, but I like the look of it...

Searching the city shows them OK, but then at the main screen they are not.
