Dreambox DM920 UHD problem with Astra services 1/2/3

Beter use original OE2.5 Images(NN2-GP4-Merlin).....and not unofficials ....

Menu → Information → Service → look at Video codec

If it says HEVC / H.265, the DM8000 cannot display it.

PurE2 is a good image, and you can import the DM8000HD List with DreamSet or DreamBoxEdit, then reload it to the image you installed on your DM920UHD.

If you want to try another image, you can always try the unofficial OpenPLi 9.x, which is available on the link below, and is from March 2026

Let us know the result of your tests with PurE2 and OpenPLi, you can always load with the Setting tools your list from the DM8000HD, and then do a full rescan of the satellites, I would do that way (So you have for sure the right parameters for the H265/UHD channels supported by the DM920UHD and not by the DM8000HD).

The 9.x is a compile of the official version, the other is a version called openpli, which has huge differences from the original one. Any are good, but Japhar supports the 9.x, the other one you need the support from the conceptors.

I found out that the transmission was faulty not my system, since this i have found out the channel hash / universal hash had changed from the one i had in my softcam.key file and since correcting it the channels have come on infact there are now 5 and all are working, as for the images openpli (openpli-15.2-dm920-original-20260210) do a version 15.2 for mine so i'm going to try it.

One question i would like to ask is can i backup my present system to my hard drive, i can remember some years ago i could do it on my DM8000 think it was barry allen or something like that?
