  • Are there plans to implement a multilingual interface?
At least support for the official languages of the United Nations: Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and French.

This would be a major boost to the app's popularity.

This is a great little tool—it’s quite compact. I hope it will support multiple languages. If there are language files available, I can help translate them into Simplified Chinese.

  • Hi this is a nice little program for enigma2 STB`s, I like the layout and design. Thanks for you effort you have put in to Channel Manager.

May I make a little sugestion ? On some buttons on the send & recieve panel have " Dreambox" as most peeps who will use your program will be using it with lots of different STB`s, not just Dreambox users. And peeps wont compare it to DreamboxEdit as this dont seem to be supported anymore. :smiling face: :smiling face:

  • Hi,

Now moving to version 1.3E , first post

    Main updates:

    • Full multi-language support system has been added to the program.

    How the language system works:

    • The program automatically reads language files from the folder:

    lang

    • Language files are stored with names such as:

    Code
    lang_en.ini
    lang_ar.ini
    lang_fr.ini

and any new language can be added using the same format.

    • Any new language file added inside the:

    lang

folder will automatically appear in the language selection menu when the program starts.

    • If the:

    lang

folder does not exist or is empty, the program will automatically use English as the default language.

    • The language selected by the user is automatically saved inside:

    settings.ini

    Language selection location:

    • From the main menu:

    Langauge

    • Or from:

    Code
Options > General > Interface Language

    Currently added languages:

    • English:

    • Arabic:

    • French:

    • German:

    • Russian:

    • Chinese:

    Code
    lang_ar.ini
    lang_en.ini
    lang_fr.ini
    lang_de.ini
    lang_ru.ini
    lang_zh.ini

    Language folder structure:

    Code
    lang\
    lang_en.ini
    lang_ar.ini
    lang_fr.ini
    lang_de.ini
    lang_ru.ini
    lang_zh.ini

Some great work, thanks. I will move the thread to the settings editor section of forum.

    Some comments/feedback.

    1. Why are you obtaining the cable, satellites and terrestrial XML files? Enigma2 does not use them for tuning, it just uses it for validating positions and a list of transponders/muxes to scan. This is a fundamental flaw why some channel list always have outdated xml files and overwrite newer ones. I presume when you transfer them back, you will send to user location /etc/enigma2/ even though they were originally in system location /etc/tuxbox/ This will mean scans will always use the older one. I think you should make the xml files optional, but they are not needed in a channels editor. You should also include the atsc.xml file if/when you do the files.

You are counting some non-countable markers like the bouquet names.

Empty number place holders should really show as what they are instead of N/A. Whether they are counted or uncounted.

    `1:320:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:`

The picon fetching missed quite a few for me even though they are present on the receiver. I hope you support the utf8snp naming protocol as that is better and has replaced snp.

May also be beneficial to have the cumulative counting that Enigma2 uses instead of just "alternative numbering" where every bouquet starts at 1. I hope you can consider adding the lcndb function that ATV added to images.
