  • now i seem to be learning more and more each day from this site

    but one thing i could not find

    a lot of people talk about how many ecms people are pulling where sharing, where you could see if they are trying to use your line for others.

    how do i check the numbers? how do i stop or allow a reshare in oscam

  • Seamouse,

    I think its just more a case of being vigilant.....if you see a user hitting you with stupid ECM times....ask question why?
    I dont think there's any set minimum so to speak....if i get a hit over 200ms its normally a one off so that may be a guide for you? Just keep an eye on it and trust who you share with!

    You can set client reshare and anti-cascading to help prevent users resharing...info in links below buddy!

  • cheers, i meant where in oscam do i look? ie user one 300 ecms per min etc

    is it under user and the ok type?

  • the beauty of Oscam is that you can easily control your shares. Best way to do this is to set up an oscam.services file. You can do all this in the web interface, or maually by editing the right files. you can set up an entry based on just caid, (0963 for sly, etc) caid and provid (000000 for sly etc) or caid, provid and srvid (individual services) - example

    Code
    [jsc]
    caid                          = 0500
    provid                        = 042400
    srvid                         = 0074,20F5,20F6,20F7,20F8,20F9,20FA,20FB,20FC

    once this is set up, then you can deny the above services to whatever peer you like by adding this to their account in oscam.user

    Code
    services = !jsc

    note above the '!' behind the name of the services definition is what creates the denial of what is defined for jsc, but will allow everything else

    Code
    services = jsc

    above without the '!' means that you are allowing it, but will deny everything else

    you can create more definitions in oscam.services, and you can add them to the services =, each separated by a commar, but stick to either ! or not ! - don't mix them.

    also the definitions in oscam.services can define just caid and provid, so you can allow or block whole cards.

    Once you have defined a service in oscam.services, these are presented as tick boxes for positive and negative services in the webinterface in each user account, and reader entry - so as well as choosing what you give, you can choose what to accept.

    If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

    do you have your webinterface set up? - if you do then you can see requests from peers in the user and reader headings - there is a list of each peer, and it then tells you the amount of requests - think it isnt based on time - just an accumulation, so just restart your server and then check in an hour to get an idea

    Open Oscam Webif and look on the Status Page!

    3rd colum from the right [align=center][COLOR=#000000][FONT=Arial]LB Value/ Reader

    you should see by my_serv (116ms)

    That would indicate that say User 1 is requesting from your server (my_server) at 116ms

    and if you look in log at bottom you also get the reading

    2012/08/18 14:29:24 ******* c ******* (0963&000000/0000/0EF2/79:E76A): found (121 ms) by my_serv

    difficult for me to be clearer as I am away from my setup - but you can definitely see the amount of requsets you are giving or getting - there are a lot of stats if you are in the right place.

  • that means you have anticascading set up and a user has exceeded the limit - in other words, they (or you in this instance) have been busier on your server than you are allowing, and this can (depending on how you have it set) mean that you kick them off, send them a fake ECM, or sometimes it is just recorded in the log with no action - which is default i think - which is why you get the report but no concequence. This can be turned on or off as required for each user. I think it might be an idea for you to look at the oscam wiki - will help you get more to grips with it and answer your questions - link to this on the orange bar near the top on this forum.
