  • My cyfra ecm are a little high, around 200ms. Other locals are fine. So trying to reduce this.

    Will running the following sudo apt-get update & sudo apt-get upgrade also update the omnikey drivers if there is an update available?

    If not, how do I make sure my omnikey drivers are the latest.
    Any other ideas on how to reduce that ecm.

    Reader for cyfra:

    [reader]
    label = CYFRA
    protocol = pcsc
    device = 0
    mhz = 357
    cardmhz = 357

    emmcache = 1,3,2
    group = 2
    caid = 0100

    Recently added the bits shown in blue, doesn't seem to have made any diff tho.
    Thanks

  • Why do you have

    device = 0 and id also add the line

    ident = 0100:000068

    As per the configs found here - http://linuxsat-support.com/os…cam-oscam-cyfra-seca.html

    Not sure how much it will help, but its a starting point

  • can add the ident but won't improve your ecm times

    Banny
    'device = 0' is because he is using an omnikey and is correct.

    bear in mind that some cards have higher ecm times anyway and if working ok then there isn't really a reason to be overly concerned.

    If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

  • Ahh, its probably as I have two Omnikeys attached, to mine, not that they are up to much at the mo.

  • Using three omnikeys. Didn't realise other cards may have higher ecm times though.

    I guess ecm times is one of those things were there are lots of things that could effect them.

    Using the latest omnikey drivers could be a factor though. Thats why I was asking how to update them.

    Thanks again
