Oscam Getting it to work?

  • Hi All, I have been reading lots of your post and you all seem to know your stuff. I am a little bit new to CS but not new to linux or anything like that since I work in IT.

However I have been having a problem getting Oscam working with my azbox.

I have manged to get it working and allowing connections from my azbox, I can see it connect in the webIF but if I change to a pay channel I see the "Ignored ECM by filter" count clocking, but never see the " Delivered ECM with status ok" counting up. So because of this there is no decryption taking place and TV pic etc. Even though Oscam is detecting the channel change etc.

Plus Im not entirely sure I have it set up with or even what/if I need a dvapi set up - alhtough I have set that up as part of the config based on someones posts in here.,

Any help would be greatly appreciated in troubleshooting it.

I have Oscam with an Omnikey Reader - which seems to grab the card and details fine using PCSC protocol.

One thing I am not sure on is if the boxID is playing a part, I converted my decimal box serial but most of the posts I have read about this sugget knocking of the first two '0's the using the remaining 8 digits to use in the conversion. But my box serial only has one '0' at the front. so I converted the remaing 9 digits - I hope this is right or would like to be corrected.

  • Im only on my phone at the moment there is a working config for oscam in the oscam section, you can then start to add in any extra settings or controls you want in in place.

That would be my approach anyway
