New hard drive egg timer

    Hi have just installed a new 500gb internal hard drive on my UNO running by 1.77b
    Booted box up and and it's stuck on egg timer style icon
    It doesn't seem to have frozen up so is the hard rive being automatically formatted
    Or have I missed something I am a noobie so any help greatly appreciated
    Egg timer been on for 20 mins now and LCD display says vu+ UNO

    Is the hard drive brand new?


    I think you would probably be best formatting it using a pc first, if its new.
