  • Hi
    hw:
    asus at3iont-i deluxe 4gb ram
    tevii s471 dvb-s pci-e tvcard
    sw:
ubuntu 12.04 precise with 3.5.4 kernel.
    tvheadend 3.0
    xbmc 11 eden

i would like to ask for help setting up the system as a cccam client.
i have a dreambox. i want to sell it if i can setup the htpc for cccam.
on the dreambox i have a cccam.cfg file:
    L: servername1 port user pass something 0
    L: servername2 port user pass something 0

i read that if there are L lines than we talk about a camd3 server.
i would like ot have a step by step guide if how to set up the tvheadend to handle with the cccam.cfg L lines.

i havent installed anything outher the os+kernel+tvh+xbmc

    Thank you!

  • Hi

First of all please post an Introduction

I don't think you will get a step by step guide, linux can run ccamd, xbmc and tvheadend clearly.

But can xbmc and tv headend process and send requests to camd?

  • hi
    thanks for the reply
sorry, the "step by step" was a bit strong.
i would like to have links, or a guide if where or how to start.
sorry i cant answer your question about tvheadend.
there is an option called "code world client" with hostname, port, username, password, and DES key.
and one named "capmt connections" with camd.socket filename, and listenport.
    thank you!

  • In that case sounds possible, but its not something im familiar with...

First thing would be to get cccam working on your lunux machine, then in tvheadend you specify the location of camd.socket.

    Code

I seem to remember having seen that file in the tmp quite often, so wasn't as complicatated as I thought (famous last words)

  • hi
    thanks for the answer!
to be honest, the harder thing for me would be to "install" and start the cccam clilent.
all i have now is the folder CCcam-2.3.0 with the files CCcam.armeb, armeb.eabi .cfg .mipsel .ppc .x86 and .x86_old_glibc_2.1.3
but as i see thies are the files and binaries for the cccam server which i dont need. i would need to install the cccam client.

since its forbidden/against law in most of the countries in the world, its really hard to find anything regarding cccam. it was much easyer for 1-2 years installing on a drambox took 3 seconds since the cccam was downloadable from the official plugin list..

    UPDATE!
Allright. i have some binaries, and few script.
Now i have to find out what sould i do with them. :)

  • I set up the OSCAM as CCCAM proxy. (i think...)
I installed oscam, set up for tvheadend. The tvheadend is connecting to the oscam via Code world client fine.
But the cccam as proxy drops the em:
