Is it possible to play .avi , .mpg, .mkv or .mov on Openbox ?
If its possible, how ?
i only find a tool to play recorded in PC.

You will have to change the file to .dvr if you want to play it on the box. That is the file the box recognises -
change a .avi (f.e) to .dvr and it will recognize ? so simple ?

It wont work! .dvr is a transport stream! like .TS is! avi's ect will have to be converted to .dvr! dvrmstoolbox might work http://babgvant.com/files/folders/18033/download.aspx but it outputs a .dvr-ms file!

use "Avs media player player" for viewing and "Avs media converter" for converter in any format you want

If .dvr is the same like dvr-ms, you can find many players.
This weekend i will test it. -
DVR needs converting to play on a PC! wont work the other way around!

yes i test a recorded .dvr in computer (archlinux+vlc).
But, it dont works.

The latest firmware 17-06-2011 now contains a media player that plays mp4 and mpeg1 and 2 files. Works well.
