Does the receiver have to have a feed to share

Hi All,
If I want to share my card with others do it have to have a satellite feed to the dish?, or can I just put the card in my dreambox as share with a feed in from other satelittes?

You don't need a co-ax feed from a sat to share mate!

You can just have the box connected to an ethernet connection and it would work fine!

However, If it's a card that needs constant updates (EMM's) then it'll need a sat feed or a connection to another server that can provide the EMM's.

so do i take it a sly card would need a feed?

It needs updates whether they come from a sat fees, server EMM's or putting card back in sky box now and then.
I don't know how often they need updating.
