vu froze turned off at the back started to boot just stuck on vu duo on front not working

When you turn it off from the switch at the back of the DUO, wait at least 10 seconds before trying to switch on again..
Switching off/on too quick will show the message "starting" on the LCD..

¿can you get into it through DCC or VUCC ???? to save your configs,etc..
unplug from mains electricity for about 5 mins....then plug back in ,start up and leave it see what happens next..
if nothing then a reflash of your personal backup or another image should bring it back to life.. -
so ,,time for a reflash,, hope you had a backup made at least of your configs if not the full image....

What image is on the box at the minute bud? have you a backup made of it to a pc or usb stick?

This happened me yesterday just suddenly froze but I had my vix 3.0 settings backed up so I just reflashed it again and it prompted me during the new install did I want to load my old settings. The new install took less than 3 mins. The moral of the story is back ur machine up regularly and it will save you a lot of grief mate.
