I think most would be of the opinion that if you are running a server sharing a sly card then it would be better not to use sly as your broadband provider.Saying that I know of people who have shared and still are using sly broadband and have never had any problems at all.
I have never heard of sly being able to see what activity is going on in/out of your router so can't comment on that buddy.
I think it's really a personal choice of whether your happy to use them or not.

to be safe i would say change defaulted ports used for servers

I'm not on sly bb but my friend is who I'm sharing with. From what I gather the risk is minimal then?
-
It probably is safe providing you don't use the default ports, but to be honest i wouldn't share with somebody using sly bb.
To me its almost like sh*tting on your own doorstep sharing sly on sly broadband.

My friend has it and has 6months left on his contract. He's asking for a share but I'm not so sure now?
-
If he's a good friend it wouldn't bother me, sharing with him. Small risk.
