Help setting up network mount to record from DM500s

    Hey folks, i've currently got a DM500s running on a Gemini image (E1) ive tried and tried to get mount to work but i dont know what im doing wrong or even what im not doing, ive searched through loads of tuts and still no luck, the machine i am trying to save the content on is a Ubuntu 11.04 laptop


    so far i have created a folder called "hdd" with a sub folder called "movie" and i have shared the "hdd" folder including its contents, on the DM i have entered in my machine IP address and Directory location of the shared folder but it doesnt seem to mount when i go to my DM IP address>config>mount manager


    Could somebody help me out, ny suggestions at all please

    Could be a few things, have you shared the folder in ubuntu?


    Also UFW I think is enabled by default (Uncomplicated Firewall) this could be blocking the connection.


    sudo ufw status


    If enabled try disabling and see if it works.
