    If this is for Geolocating purposes have you considered a dd-wrt capable router?


    Most builds come with pre-installed with PPTP, L2TP and OpenVPN options


    I know this doesn't fix your problem directly but it's a solution - let your router do the all the work.

  • Vu+ Record to Shared folder over network

    Hello Gents,


    Is it possible to record to a shared folder across the network on a PC which runs 24/7 if so can anybody point me in the right direction, i have searched but i'm not sure if my search context is correct

    I can find the PC on my network via the Vu Network browser but i am unable to find the shared folder when i expand the network mount

    Ok i have found and mounted the shared folder however when i select the network mount directory in Recording&Playback settings it returns an invalid location, any ideas guys?

    As the title suggests I ask for help if DM 800 hd - and star - sim - wifi triple tuner .
    I go into details : the Nemesis 2.6 and I wanted to install the OpenPLi 4 , but despite install drivers manually triple tuner ( trialtuner_104B ) is not activated .
    I know this is a problem of OpenPLi 4 , I was wondering if anyone has resolved or if there is a backup with all the drivers installed .

    i have had the issue since i opened the box, seems more of a poor remote signal rather than a processor issue i noticed if i put my finger on the front panel of the receiver the remote works excellent put as soon as i take my finger away its back to crappy responsiveness again

    Hey folks,


    i recently purchased a Vu+ Zero (OpenVIX preinstalled) from WorldOfSat


    this is my first Vu+ i have ever owned and i have read good reviews about this particular model so i ditched my Cloud iBox2+ and ordered one


    Whenever i am using the remote control, roughly out of 10 presses of a button about only 3 or 4 actually register with the receiver, i have tried new batteries, with and without the extension IR and distance from anything from 5cm from the receiver to 5metres away and still the same.. it is quite frustrating as the receiver and firmware looks fantastic and i could not fault anything but to honest this remote is ruining my experience and i'm not sure if it's this particular box or all of these Vu+ Zeros, my cloud ibox2 scrolled through menus without any hassle and the remote from that felt like a universal remote from poundland..


    Could anyone confirm that has a Zero that their remote works 100% with no hassle?

    I'm pretty sure that the box is bricked mate, i had one of these and i done exactly the same as you i downloaded a skin and it just wouldn't boot up, i done some research and i believe that you need to load a new bootloader onto the chip of the board and there's a PIC programmer needed.. it seemed like a whole load of hassle for the money so i just bought another box, bit of advice stay clear of any clone boxes their really not worth the hassle

  • Bootloader Upgrade - Help!!

    Hi,


    I have a DM800HDSE Clone, i want to flash a new image (Blackhole) however i think i may need to upgrade my bootloader version on the SIM as when trying to flash it throws up an error "IMAGE FOR WRONG ARCHITECTURE"


    I have looked inside and the SIM card says "DM800SE 210", i checked the current version of the bootloader via web interface and it states Bootloader Version = #84, how can i upgrade this to ssl84d, do i need to find an old ssl84 image flash that first and don't reboot, then open second browser and flash new 210 ssl84d bootloader then reboot the box and then reflash again to an ssl84d blackhole image?

    Can anybody help in regards to getting the Manchester VM Net ID for an Amiko T2/C cable reciever, i have used the two following ID's but still no luck can anyone confirm that these settings are correct? Not sure if i have old information


    Manchester 1 NTL ex C&W 41040 666.750 6.887
    Manchester 2 NTL ex C&W 41060 666.750 6.952


    I have entered in the reciever as follows


    Frequency: 666.7
    Symbol Tate 6887
    Net ID 41040

    As we all know the battle has begun with ISP's for streaming content within the UK.. for example the TSMedia issue right now, many of us im sure already are paying for a VPN service, would be a good job to have a Client Plugin, my question consists of the following;
