Post your configs please so we can see how you have it setup, there is no need to open the port connecting oscam & CCcam also how do you know the card is being read ok as omnikeys do not work in CCcam. Will oscam start manually, if so post your oscam log also.

You have oscam configured for an internal slot of an stb so you need to read another tut on how to setup your omnikey correctly :snicker:
[h=3]How to install Omnikey readers on Linux PC[/h]
If you get stuck at any point there are numerous omnikey support threads in this section which should give you the answer to any problems. -
i understand that the card reader is reading internal slot, but when i use pcsc_scan it tells me that my local card is in there,so is it reading the card or not.
many thanks

Hi both, I'm no expert on this but at mo the device= dev....etc, (setup internal). surely if he's using an omikey reader in the USB I would have thought that device=( something USB reader??)
I hope this makes sense

If you do what Ten suggests you will over come your problem m8.

Ken..might be the case but oscam is configured to tell it to read your card from a device that doesn't exist
in your oscam configs you have protocol as 'internal' and this should be 'pcsc'
you also have device = /dev/sci0 - this is pointing to a non existing device - you need to set it to the location of your omnikey - this location can be obtained if you follow the tutorial Ten Below posted, or you can assume it is likely to be device = 0 for the first reader, device = 1 for the second and so on. -
I have put my config to this and still wont connect,
[reader]

Ken.. -
take it you followed the guide on Ten Below's link?
delete the line starting with 'boxid' - as it said it is not needed - reboot server try to connect if it doesn't then post your logs again -
-
Hi again,i got it working last night, was looking to hard for what was in front of me,lol
many thanks
Ken.. -
Glad you got it sorted - as you have solved this I will close this thread...
