I've just got a Vu+ Solo2 box, as well as a very long running legit subscription, but I'd like to combine boxes/recordings and put the S*y+ boxes internal HDD into my new VU+ box, for which I've already got a 2tb usb passport drive attached to externally.
Can anyone please tell me the possibility of still being able to access the S*y+ Drive in the Vu+ box if I have a full CS Bouquet also open?

No. the recordings on the ***+ are encrypted, your VU+ uses a different filesystem, the drive will have to be re formatted to use in the VU+ solo2
you would have to decrypt and convert your current recording to be able to playback on your VU+ Solo2

I think that this procedure is legally because you MUST use your ACTIVE smartcard to decrypt the files and the procedure purpose is onyl & simply to re-use your personal recordings, exactly you can with many other satellite receiver with pvr functions (like dreambox or clarke tech).
I think the easiest way would be a video capture device on a pc or even a dvd recorder to backup what you want to keep.
