Only way forward is to use an image that has oscam + cccam 2.1.3.
Or if you are using both dm500 & 7020 on the same network, you could have oscam in one receiver and cccam 2.1.3 in the other.
Put the card in the receiver with oscam to serve the receiver with cccam 2.1.3.
How to viasat card in dm500 ?

Okay, can you point me to such an image for my 500s, ill install it right away. Again thx for all your help mate
-
-
I installed the image now and its running fine. I can see it has cccam 2.2.1 preinstalled, but I cannot find where to download other cams like i could on the other images, and cannot see oscam installed anywhere?
-
Try this pal, New server to the image Nemesis special Enigma 1.
-
You could also try this, New Extra.url for EDG Nemesis E1.
-
The first one worked fine, so now I got oscam_r4396 and cccam 2.1.3 up and running...finally ;)
-
do I dare ask what the next step is, to get my card to work? and do I need to install some more. I have read some of your posts like this:
http://linuxsat-shares.com/osc…using-camd3-protocol.html
do I need to do something like that? And do i need to do something with the boxkey as well? just asking to know how far from the goal I am?

Look in the folder etc/tuxbox/config.
There are three files that need to be editted for oscam, open the files, delete the contents and replace with the below configs.
oscam.confCode
Display More[global] nice = -1 WaitForCards = 1 ClientTimeout = 5 CacheDelay = 120 logfile = /usr/local/etc/oscam.log [newcamd] Key = 0102030405060708091011121314 Port = 34000@090F:000000 [webif] httpport = 16002 httpuser = root httppwd = xxx httprefresh = 10 httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255
oscam.server
Code[reader] Label = Viasat Protocol = internal Detect = cd Device = /dev/sci0 EMMCache = 1,1,2 Group = 1 CAID = 090F ident = 090F:000000 BoxID = xxxxxxxxx
oscam.user
Now put this N line in your CCcam.cfg and restart your server.
N: 127.0.0.1 34000 oscam_user oscam_password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256

okay, so I don't have to modify any of the information to match my setup....like ports etc.?
-
It is possible that you will need to convert the boxkey for this nds card to work.
Find the 17 characters from the bottom of the receiver and add it to HERE. (EXAMPLE: 33ADAC0110011223A)
Add the serial number and generate the boxkey.
Add the 8 digit boxkey too the file oscam server. (BoxID =) -
No need to open any ports and i have modified the n line for you already.
-
Thx again very much... my boxkey is only 16 chars long though, do I add a zero in front to make it 17 or what?
-
Im not exactly sure on that one pal,, you could try adding the zero at the start or the end.
-
Hi again
I finally got the card working, without putting in all the settings you posted earlier and without entering the boxkey, don't know if that is normal but i works ;) I cannot thank you enough for your help, you have been very patient, thx. Now I'm buying a new dish, so thats the next project. Cheers

Been away bqlgepap else I could have saved you alot of bother.
Really surprised about the boxkey bit though. As I could not get Oscam to initiate to the card without the BK. Although you may have a different card.
Regards,
Rich.
