  • Hi I'm unsure of how to ask this question incase it breaches any rules so please feel free to remove the post if it does.

After doing some reading on different forums I see a lot about card sharing and pay-servers etc, pay servers seem to anger a lot of people as they will be bringing the hobby of these stb's to an early end, I'd this is the case I was wondering if there is another way to access pay channels without the need of a pay-server. Hope I havnt breached any rules here. Thanks

  • So in dumb ass terms for me you would pay for a genuine subscription and just share it with friends and family on a small server?

pretty much yes, quite a few people i know use their own sub but never share it as they actually prefer to use a receiver of their choice that they have more control over than the ones offered by the service provider.

yes - or vice versa your friend or family member has a server and shares with you - and you split the bill. But as I said, the origins of cardsharing come from people across a wide area like Europe who buy equipment capable of receiving a number of satellites, and wish to receive all the channels available - not necessarily for watching, but just for the sake of receiving the services. This is where it becomes a hobby. It is impractical and not financially viable for most to have the equipment and pay for every card in Europe, so out of this comes cardsharing.

IMO if you just want to watch sly channels, subscribe to sly.

If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....
