Manually Mounting an network share

  • I am using the OpenPli-N***_Hrnigma, for my Amiko Alien2. I have two Alien2's so I would rather record off to my NAS....so files / recordings are available to both machines. However, in this image the 'mount manager' does not work and after crashing once disappears!

    Is there any way to force a mount to <NAS IP>\<Share> using command line?

  • I see a number of people have read the thread without comment, possibly wanting to know, so have been given the following commands on another forum - if it helps.

    mount -t cifs -o rw,username=user,password=pass //192.168.0.2/tv /stb_folder

    rw or ro = write or read only access

    user = username on NAS/PC
    pass = password on NAS/PC

    192.168.1.2/tv = ip and share name of NAS/PC making sure user and pass have relevant permissions

    stb_folder = local folder on STB where you want it mounted (mkdir to create it first)
