    thanks

  • anyone ? I've been looking at other threads but don't seem to be getting any further. One thing I wasn't sure about was the nodeid in CCcam, is that correct ?

    Still no joy getting this to work, is the answer so obvious that nobody replying or does it need someone with some know how ?

    There is nothing in your oscam configs that will block the update so if you tell how your client boxes are connecting & configured maybe we might spot something there.

    P.S The boxkey is read by oscam automatically so you can safely remove that line from oscam.reader

  • thanks for the reply. I have two box connecting 1 x dm800 using cccam 2.14 and the other is a ferguson ariva using ccam through the built in menu system settings. The dm800 has standard c line config

    You only show accounts for 1 box in your oscam user file so lets assume this is for the dm800, enter the cline in this box like this based on the info given.

    Your oscam.user

    Code
    [account]
    user                          = [COLOR=#ff0000]test[/COLOR]
    pwd                           = [COLOR=#ffd700]test[/COLOR]
    uniq                          = 1
    au                            = Reader-0
    group                         = 1
    cccmaxhops                    = 5
    cccreshare                    = 0

    The cline in your dm800 needs to be basic (e.g without no { 0:0:2 } for example)

    Code
    C: [COLOR=#00ffff]192.168.0.3[/COLOR] [COLOR=#ff8c00]12000[/COLOR] [COLOR=#ff0000]test[/COLOR] [COLOR=#ffd700]test[/COLOR]

    Local IP of your server (not external dns)
    CCcam port listed in oscam.conf
    Account user
    Account passord

    Also check you are not blocking emm in your dm800 CCcam.cfg

    Code
    DISABLE EMM : no

    Its not that people don't want to help buddy, just that you need to give as much info as possible.

  • sure I understand that, I can only apologise I have only ever used oscam with a dm800 receiving the updates locally. I've checked the 800 client and c line is as above, will leave it overnight and see what happens. I have also asked a friend who receives updates from a client to connect to me and see if anything comes through. Thanks

  • leaving it overnight might not be enough, you might need to allow more time and have more patience - sly don't seem to broadcast emm's every night and there seems not to be a pattern, maybe there is a reason for that (like they want you to have the card in the original box) - leave it on sly 1 or similar and be patient. TBH a lot of people find it less hassle updating in the original receiver.

    If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

  • Update to original post, EMM came through from the DM800, nothing from the non enigma box which I have seen people say the same thing in various posts. On a side note, the NODEID i pasted in my confguration above, is that classed as sensitive or can it stay in the original post ? Not sure what it did or if it can lead to my card serial. Thanks

  • Anyone know the answer ?

    Your configs will update the card. Accept that you will have to leave the receiver on (use the dm800 client) a channel such as sly 1 overnight and maybe for a few nights. Others have had no issues with this - What you are missing might be patience.

  • Thanks, you seem to have missed one of my posts though. What I asked was:

    " the NODEID i pasted in my confguration above, is that classed as sensitive or can it stay in the original post ? Not sure what it did or if it can lead to my card serial. "

    It's nothing to worry about buddy, not linked to your card in any way.

    Now your problem is solved i will close this thread.
