low ecms and glitching

    hi all i'm getting lots of small glitches from my server today my ecms are between 50 to 150 ecms which is good but i'm still receiving glitches and so are my friends that are connected to me i have tried rebooting but still no luck. i,m running cacheex but i have been using that now for well over a week and no glitches on the server except for the last 2 days? i have disabled cacheex for a couple of hours to see if it helps . any other ideas what i can try?

    cut out all external connections to your server only keeping your internal connections to your amiko alien..
    see if it makes a difference..
    ¿ how many peers have you got?
    as glitching can be caused by having too many peers taking from the same caid:sid at once or simply too many peers

    i have found the problem everytime i connect to a cache within 10 mins it starts to glitch could i possibly be receiving bad ecms from him?i only have 9 users plus i tried that but it seems to be when i connect to this certain cache but before this started the cache was great anyone any ideas how i can stop bad ecms from this cache as it's a good cache excepts for these bad hits i have been getting the past 2 days

    I would be asking myself is it really worth using cache-ex, you have only 9 users connected so a normal server will handle everything no probs. Cache-ex generates a huge amount of traffic so i have read on other posts here, is it really worth the hassle?

    Agreed.... why would you use something that isnt working correctly ??
    back to the scratchboard - you could start by eliminating the particular peer (that you call user)..
    if no difference I would ditch cacheex altogether...
    There really is no need for it (apart from the educational value) with some good trustworthy peers
