There was a piece of software for openbox's that had a feature like DCC built in..
Openbox Toolbox V1.1
No idea if it works with x5 & from memory, It was problematic with my S9..
EDIT: Found the link:

At the moment I do not think you can get a ftp program that will work with the x5.
-
Its a shame really that these box's are not open source.. I still use my S9 and its a great box (For normal viewing).
-
x5 is totally different,so no old programs work with it
-
Even the channel list is in a weird .bin format that is not recognised by channel editor software.
-
openbox is just a name they slapped on the x5 to get forum support.
-
Which model is the best/most supported out of the openbox family?
I got the x5 only for a test run, so I can still buy a different receiver.
I find not being able to edit channel lists remotely quite awful.

The S9 as mentioned above has software for remotely uploading channel lists and clines but in my experience it was hit & miss, a bit like Microsoft's plug a pray!
If you wand a cheap Box that is fully supported, the DM500's take some beating, but you will have to settle for SD..
I have not tried the DM500HD models as their prices are too close to a genuine box for my liking.. -
s9 is like 3 years old and support dried up.

With the he openbox s11 I have no problems using the lan tool for it, ***box F3 is well supported and that is the one I would go for the F5 although newer uses the same firmware and seems to come with a lot of hardware problems.
