  • I am looking to setup a basic Windows Server mainly to learn a bit but would like to make it sort of functional, so it would have some use(s).

I am assuming Windows Home Server is a no go? Has anyone else used it, then would I be best with Windows Server 2008 R2 or 2012 (and which edition)?

  • Set up ESXi on a PC and install them all m8, test to see what they can do and which one works best for you.. I setup Windows Server 2008 as a domain server on my home network.. I did not like it though :(
