  • Hello all,

    I am trying to setup a card server and client using oscam 1.20 (r8655). I've managed to compile it and it is reading card.

    The server and client will be on different linux box in the same lan.

    I'm using camd35 to communicate between oscam instances.

    But I do not see any traffics on the udp port. My configuration is as follow :

    Server :

    oscam.conf

    [global]
    nice = -1
    WaitForCards = 1
    pidfile = /var/run/oscam.pid
    logfile = stdout
    usrfile = /var/log/oscamuser.log
    cwlogdir = /var/log/cw
    maxlogsize = 10000

    user = user1
    boxtype = pc
    au = 1
    pmt_mode = 0

    [monitor]
    appendchaninfo = 1

    oscam.server

    [reader]
    label = stream
    enable = 1
    protocol = smartreader
    detect = cd

    The card is successfully detected on the reader(server) side. I do not see any communication between the server and the client. Can any point me out what I've done wrong with the configurations? There is no firewall in my LAN.

    Is there a way to verify the camd client is working properly?

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers,

    What exactly do you mean by different linux box ? Server is ubuntu / debian and the client is a receiver, dreambox / Vu+ / amiko alien ?

    If the server is ubuntu / debian will you be viewing your card from the server with VDR plugin ? or is viewing only done on the client receiver ?

    It`s important to know this so we can provide the best configs..

  • Hi master G,

    My configuration is for the IPTV system. So I will host the smartgo + viewing card on a linux box (ubuntu), oscam server.

    And the other ubuntu(transcoder) will have a dvb-s tuner with a oscam client(no cards at all).

    The servers are on different networks.

    Does it make sense to you?

    Many thanks,
    axion

    P.S. No local card on the transcoder. It should communicate with the card server for the related encrypted channels.

    Try these configs buddy;

  • Hi Master G,

    No luck. Having the same issue as before.

    On server side: user1 offline

    On client side: Proxy stream is ON , port 13477, protocol camd35 and status UNKNOWN.

    I've tested all the firewall and udp port 13477 is opened.

    Should I see any communication between the oscam client and server even if I do not open the stream?

    I saw a few anon clients connected to the server and disappeared. I think this is the client side issue.

    Any idea?

    Regards,
    axion

    P.S. oscam recognized the sly card.
