To Install > FTP to tmp -> /var/tmp > Blue Button > ViX > Install Local Extensions

FTP / File transfer protocol is how you access the solo2 to add plugins, softcams etc, use this tool here --> DCC-E2 v1.50 - Dreambox Control Centre..
/tmp is a folder on the solo2..
Open DCC-E2 > On the left panel click FTP > In the middle panel double click tmp -> /var/tmp folder > On the right panel click on the softcam and move to the middle panel..
On the remote control press Blue Button > ViX > Install Local Extensions

if you also put the ccam ipk on a usb stick it will be detected when you plug it into the usb port and the box will prompt you to install it ,then you should see it in softcam manager if its still not showing try press Blue Button > ViX > Install Local Extensions and it will be there ,but try the master g option first as the next thing you will be asking is how to add a cline and you can ftp with dcc or use cccam line manager in vu+ toolbox

did you try place the ipk for cccam on a usb stick

Then try what stevejo suggested, copy the ipk file to USB while its connected to the mac then add to the solo2, you should receive a prompt to install on screen..

format a usb stick first if it doesnt work try another on that is a different make as sometimes they just dont read them for some unknown reason unzip the ipk so its only that on the usb stick , after you are prompted to install you should see the progres , after that from your normal screen pres the blue button and go to softcam manager you should see cccam make sure it has a tick and is stared ,if it isnt there and you saw it install got blue button/vix/install local extention you should see it there and install again , reboot and check it again in softcam manager

Hi. Not sure if this is daft question but I am trying to download the cccam file for Vix and it just opens or saves a file named 'attachment.php'.
How do I download the actual IPK file so I can install it on my VU+ with FileZilla. -
