Rock bottom price bare minimum capabilities receiver

    Hello everyone,


    I am trying to set up a very low scale (4-5 clients) card share for some sd movies and sports from sly.


    So I need a receiver capable of distributing the control word but not for viewing as I will be using my HTPC for that.


    I have come across the Blackbox (dreambox clone) for £35 that is my sort of budget and it seems to fit the bill.


    any advice would be great,

    You certainly can share with a dreambox 500 and indeed the blackbox. Its was the first box I purchased and I shared between 3 others, 1 for my dad and 2 for the kids. My dad now has the blackbox as a 2nd box as I upgraded to a Vu Duo.


    The only thing I would say to be wary of is that the Sly sharing days could soon be over especialy for premium channels so be bare this in mind.
