Flashing Image backup

There are 2 replies in this Thread which was already clicked 1,040 times. The last Post () by strummer.

    Due to having issues with a plugin that had stopped working I decided to flash a complete backup of BH 2.0.4 I had made when the plugin was working.


    I went through the USB procedure and the display said flashing etc, but on reboot the duo just froze with "starting" on the display. I had to flash another copy of the image to get the box going.


    On looking at my backup there were 2 files


    "kernel_cfe_auto.bin"
    "root_cfe_auto.jffs2"


    whereas the original image has an extra file


    "boot_cfe_auto.jffs2"


    So is my backup missing a file? and is this the reason that when using the backup the box froze?

    A original image will have 3 files, a backup only has 2 files. So your backup is not missing a file buddy.


    It could well be that the plugin that stopped working corrupted the files when you made the backup. What was the plugin?
