  • Hi all,

    I am currently trying to figure out how to log into my server from my phone when out and about. No real need to do it, just figure it would be something useful to have. My ip is static, I have opened up a port on the router and enabled remote access and can see my router, but how do I look for the ip of the pc if at all possible?

  • You will have to either set up a dns account for your phone or add the phone IP to your webif section of oscam.conf
    httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255, ip.of.your.phone, dns-of.your.phone

    If your phone Ip always has a range e.g.

    69.128.111.113
    69.128.114.225
    69.128.111.146
    69.128.131.173
    69.128.111.216
    69.128.151.52

    You can use 69.128.111.0-69.128.151.254

    So your line in oscam.conf would look like this:
    httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255, 69.128.111.0-69.128.151.254
    or if your not too concerned with security:
    httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255, 69.128.0.0-69.128.254.254

    EDITS Made: Reason:- Dangerously wrong information :laugh:

  • Sorry m8, just had a read over my last post and made edits, see info in cyan colour..
    I copied n pasted some info but it actually opened up your webif to all IP address's 0,0,0,0-255,255,255,255, should be only your internal network in the first range (192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255)

  • This is totally crazy to open up the OScam webif to the Internet, yes it is a nice and fun to have feature but don't come and cry when your system will be hacked.
    Moroeover if your server crash... you won't be able to restart it from the webif since it is crashed!
    Consider to open up such access only through a SSH tunnel, with strong keys and/or very strong password.

    Agreed in principal, but nobody suggested opening oscam to the internet, it was just to a relatively small range of IP Address's (Most likely all reserved for that single phone carrier)..
