Hi all,
I have a mkdigitalo xp1000 running vix 3.0, i have a softcam.key file, but am not sure where to put it.
I have cccam installed, once i ftp it to the relevant place is tehre anything else i n eed to do?

Try using DCC
& FTP the keys folder to either var or usr then reboot -
CCam does not read softcam key but constant cw. Softcam key is for mgcamd

I've put it in that folder and have started mgcamd running, but no joy, any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

it is in var/keys but no joy.
It is listed as softcam.Key - is that correct or does it need to start with a capital letter in the same way that Cccam does?

How do i do the 644 permissions thing? Sorry, I am new at this.

Use Dreambox Control Center, FTP the softcam.key file to /usr/keys with the rest of the mgcamd config files, right click on the softcam.key file and choose Attributes, select 644..

still no luck. could it be my mg_cfg file?
Do you have a relevant file for an xp1000 or are they all the same?

milko what are you trying to clear? maybe your file is not updated. Give me your email in a pm and I will send you an updated contant.cw file for ccam
