  • Hello Ten Below
    RE: card detect fail
    Hope that you are well
    Many thanks for your fast response to my private message regards the above. Yes the jsc sport card (Yellow card) is activated and valid to January 2012) . The jsc sport channels are clear in my technomate.

    Unfortunayely I still receive the same error
    i.e card detect fail after carrying out the modifications you kindly suggested as follows. I very much
    appreciate your kind help to make the card is detectedn and the server is running.
    I changed my cfg as instructed by you. This is my new cfg.

    Also please can you advice me how can I find out my server ip? Is it this one: http://127.0.0.1:16001
    or is it the one that shows whenI go on whatismyip.com?

    in ubuntu why does it show the reder as smart mouse even though I set the reader is a serial infinity in phoenix mode :
    root@xxxx:/usr/local/nftytool-1.1# ./nftytool -p phoenix -- -s
    Infinity USB 1.00
    Status: disabled

    I look forward on hearing from you.
    Thank you so much for your kind efforts and cooperation.

  • seems is not recognising your usb device.

    try downloading nftytool again & extracting to debian then do the following

    apt-get install libusb-dev
    apt-get install gcc
    ./configure
    make

    once you've completed the above succesfully then issue this from command

    ./nftytool -p phoenix -- -f 6.00 -p phoenix -e

    try and report back

    regards

  • Hello T.

    I hope you are well. Thanks so much for your reply.

    I did what you wrote, but I still get the same error message.

    This is the message that comes up:
    zazolita@zazolita-desktop:/var/nftytool$ ./nftytool -p phoenix -- -f 6.00 -p phoenix -e
    Error in usb_interrupt_write()
    Error in usb_interrupt_read()
    Error in usb_interrupt_write()
    Error in usb_interrupt_read()

    Error in usb_interrupt_write()
    Error in usb_interrupt_read()
    Error in usb_interrupt_write()
    zazolita@zazolita-desktop:/var/nftytool$ sudo ./nftytool -p phoenix -- -f 6.00 -p phoenix -e
    Infinity USB 1.05
    zazolita@zazolita-desktop:/var/nftytool$

    In entitlements I can still see this:
    card reader /dev/ttyS0
    no or unknown card inserted

    card reader /dev/ttyS1
    no or unknown card inserted

    What else could I do?

    The card is an Al Jazeera Sport Viaccess 4 and it is valid until Jan 2012 and the channels are clear on the Technomate 500 super receiver.

    Before inserting the card the lights are solid red and solid blue. After inserting the card the lights are as follows: one is solid red and the other one is flashing red-blue.

    The card reader uses a serial cable and an usb power cable.

    Thanks again for your help and look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards, zazolita

  • hi buddy ,

    ok in your cccam.cfg change your reader lines to these

    SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyS0
    SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyS1

    & get rid of

    PHOENIX READER PATH: /dev/ttyS0
    PHOENIX READER PATH: /dev/ttyS1

    try that and report back

    RE: Al jazeera viaccess 4 sport card - infinity pheonix reader- card detect failure

    Hope that you are well.

    Many thanks for your response regards the card detect fail error. I am very sory for the late reply to your suggestions to solve the problem as above. Unfortunayely, after carrying out the modifications you and under ten kindly suggested earlier (i.e on 14 and 18 of April also underten on 10 April) still receive the same error
    i.e card detect fail.

    . I very much appreciate any help to make the card is detected and the server is running.

    Best Regards

    P.S

    I have a Viaccess 4 - Al Jazeera Sport card, a Phoenix Infinity card reader and a Technomate TM-500 super receiver (patched with the latest ur-image published on 28-feb-11 running CCcam v2.1.4). The jsc sport card (Yellow card) is activated and valid to January 2012) . The jsc sport channels are clear in my technomate.

    I am running Ubuntu 10.04TLS and CCcam 2.1.4 as done by this tutorial:

    I tried to install my Phoenix Infinity card reader as done in this tutorial:
