My phone has a neat little network scanner (fing) and it has found these ports open on my vuplus. What are the ports above 445 all doing there?
(I assume my phone is making a 'best guess' for the service on the higher ports)
21 ftp
22 ssh
23 telnet
80 http
139 netbios-ssn
443 https
445 microsoft-ds
8888 sun-answerbook
10000 snet-sensor-management
12000 cce4x
31337 elite
31337 maybe dream elite update panel , 12000 is obvious , 10000 snet is some sort of remote access port , 8888 sun - who knows . I wouldnt worry too much if your box sits behind a router with a firewall. People will not be able to access these open ports unless u have setup port forwarding or put your box into a dmz mode on router.

I think 8888 could be oscam webif anyway most of these should not be open and would suggest checking your router
You could load any image & find open ports on your box buy as long as you secure ports at your router you have nothing to worry about.
